ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2023 Schedule, Fixtures & Venues
International Cricket Council is working very actively to promote Women’s cricket on a full scale. The idea is to have the same viewership interest and passion as it got for the ICC men’s cricket events. ICC Women’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup is announced to promote young emerging cricket talent among all playing nations and this will be the first-ever edition of the u19 women’s cricket world cup which will be hosted by South Africa. A total of 16 teams are participating in this inaugural edition of the tournament.
ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2023 Event Details
T20 format is the most manageable format to scale the participating countries because of the shorter format, matches can be scheduled as doubleheaders in a single day. This t20 u19 women’s world cup will have a total of 41 games in Round-robin and Knockout format.Â

Indonesia Women’s U19 team qualified for this tournament through the regional qualification system in place by the ICC while South Africa is the host nation for the tournament which got automatically qualified.Â

The u19 women’s world cup 2023 was originally planned to be played in January 2021 but due to pandemic issues, the tournament got postponed and never got going. Finally, in December 2022 ICC confirmed that it is still on the cards and announced the host nations for 2023, 2025 & 2027 Women’s U19 T20 World Cup events.
The tournament is divided into four groups with four teams in each group. Team India is in Group D where they are scheduled to play against South Africa, UAE & Scotland.
