BBL 2022/23 Team Players List

In an official confirmation by Cricket Australia, the complete bbl 2022-23 squad shaped up quite nicely after the official bbl 2022/23 draft event but there have been changes in the squads due to injuries and International commitments. Pakistani Players in BBL 2022-23

PCB had earlier granted the NOCs to around 43 top domestic and International cricketers from Pakistan but only a few of them were able to impress the selectors of bbl teams into the official draft event. The BIG Guns like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and others will be busy with the Test against England as well as the white ball series against New Zealand. Only the three players from Pakistan selected which are Asif Ali & Faheem Ashraf will play for Hobart Hurricanes while Usman Qadir was drafted by Sydney Thunder in bbl 2022/23.

Power Surge Rule in BBL 2022/23

Big Bash League has been innovating with new kinds of rules to make T20 cricket even more exciting and with this in mind, CSA introduced three unique rules to the game which were Power Surge, X-Factor & Bash Boost in the last edition. But for bbl 2022/23 only the Power Surge rule has been given a green signal while the other two innovations have been scrapped.

What is the Power Surge Rule in BBL?

Power Surge scrapped the traditional 6-over powerplay at the start of the innings but instead, it made a four-over necessary powerplay at the start of the innings while the remaining two overs can be taken by the batting team at any point from the 11th over of the innings. This rule was also introduced in the Women’s Big Bash League this season.
