BPL 2023 All Teams Squad, Captains & Players List

BCB has confirmed the BPL 2023 All Teams Squad for all seven franchises in the country’s premier T20 competition. It will be the 9th edition of the tournament this year which will be played from January 5 to February 16, 2023. Like other T20 leagues, BPL also follows the draft system where franchises choose to rope in local and overseas talent. BPL 2023 draft event was held on November 23, 2022. We have discussed the complete BPL teams squad 2023 along with the top overseas signings below.

The franchises of Bangladesh have done a good job this year by roping in many of the highly in-demand cricketers from Pakistan because of their fantastic T20I performances at the Asia Cup as well as the previous two ICC T20 World Cups. The notable signings in BPL 2023 Draft are as follows.

This year top cricketers from Bangladesh have changed their teams like Tamim Iqbal joined Khulna Tigers, Mashrafe Mortaza joined Sylhet Strikers & Nurul Hasan joined Rangpur Riders. This shuffle may bring new results for the franchises as they are looking to win their first-ever titles in Bangladesh Premier League.

Five out of seven franchises have confirmed their captains for BPL 2023 while other two franchises are expected to announce in few days. As per media reports, Afif Hossain will be the captain of Chattogram Challengers while Taskin Ahmed to lead Dhaka Dominators in BPL 2023.

Dhaka & Victorians are the most successful franchises in Bangladesh Premier League as both teams have won three BPL titles so far. Comilla Victorians are the defending Champions in BPL 2023.

Team Dhaka has changed ownership many times in BPL. At first, it was Dhaka Gladiators, and then it was changed to Dhaka Dynamites in 2014. In 2019, ownership again got changed and the name was changed to Dhaka Platoon. Currently, team Dhaka is owned by Rupa Fabrics Limited rebranded the team’s name to Dhaka Dominators.
