Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad 2024 & Match Schedule
Sunrisers Hyderabad team joined IPL in 2013 when former Hyderabad franchise Deccan Charges was terminated by IPL management. SRH already won an IPL title in 2016 under the leadership of David Warner. According to Forbes, SRH has already earned a brand value of US$ 57 million even after being the late entrant to the IPL. BCCI and the franchise have confirmed Sunrisers Hyderabad squad 2024 after the retentions and the mini-auction event which was held a few weeks ago. Below you will find details regarding Sunrisers Hyderabad schedule 2024 & Sunrisers Hyderabad team 2024 squad list which will feature in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Full Squad 2024
Sunrisers Hyderabad team 2024 has taken a bold decision this year by releasing Harry Brook from last year’s SRH squad after getting him at a whooping price of INR 13.25 crore. We believe they released Harry to open up space for NZ’s Glenn Phillips who has been in great form and has done brilliantly on Indian conditions.

Management of Sunrisers has now confirmed Pat Cummins as SRH captain 2024 who has had an incredible leadership role in the last 12 months for Australia clinching Test Mace, ODI World Cup, and retaining the Ashes. Cummins as captain in IPL will provide a good opportunity for him as well to further fine-tune his leadership in T20s which can ultimately help his national side win the T20 World Cup 2024 scheduled to be played in June later this year.
SRH continued with the same batting unit by retaining Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klaasen who all are good enough batters with match-winning performances. Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batters 2024 can be Mayank Agarwal & Abhishek Sharma, both are great Indian talent and can very well solve the issue of SRH in batting upfront.
The pace bowling department in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team 2024 players list also looks good on paper as they got the services of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan & Umran Malik, and the exciting part is all three of them are different. Bhuvi can bowl tight lines with swing, while Natarajan can bowl his heavy ball along with his deceptive slower ones. Umran Malik gives the ex-factor who can bowl at a heavy pace like 155+ KPH on a consistent basis.

Looking at the IPL 2024 matches schedule, one good thing for SRH can be is they have a good 5 days gap after their tournament opener so they can re-group and make different plans if the strategy didn’t work in the 1st game as Rajasthan Royals were in great hot form last year and there haven’t been made changes made in their squad. The majority of the Sunrisers Hyderabad match schedule 2024 shows they have night games so the dew factor can play a role due to the high humidity.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Coaches 2024
Among the Sunrisers Hyderabad coaches from last year, they have parted ways with Tom Moody who was not able to deliver match-winning performances in the last season. Brian Lara is appointed as Head Coach and it will be interesting to see how he makes the strategy for the SRH team in IPL 2024.
Coach Title | Name |
CEO | K Shanmugam |
General Manager | Srinath Bhashyam |
Head Coach | Brian Lara |
Assistant Coach | Simon Helmot |
Fast Bowling Coach | Dale Steyn |
Fielding Coach | Hemang Badani |
Physio | Theo Kapakoulakis |
Performance Analyst | Gaurav Sundararaman |
Physical Trainer | Mario Villavarayan |
SRH in last 2 years have sacked two coaches. Trevor Bayliss got sacked after poor performances in IPL 2021 and now Tom Moody has been sacked after a poor show in IPL 2022. Brian Lara will be under pressure to bring new energy into the team and it might work because SRH team 2024 has plenty of new faces who were away from them in earlier seasons.
SRH Overall IPL Wins
SRH as a team has done a good job over the years as they have always been marked as dark horses and have never been rated as the strongest team on paper. They already won one title and became the runners-up once in the last 10 editions they played in the IPL. Below is the breakdown of SRH team performance in each IPL season.
Year | Summary |
2013 | Playoffs |
2014 | League stage |
2015 | League stage |
2016 | Champions |
2017 | Playoffs |
2018 | Runners-up |
2019 | Playoffs |
2020 | Playoffs |
2021 | League stage |
2022 | League stage |
Sunrisers Hyderabad team has so far played 125 matches in IPL in which they won 66 and lost 58 matches. They got a win percentage of 53% as average in all IPL seasons. Against Chennai Super Kings, they have a terrible record over the years with a win percentage of only 28.57% which is something they really need to work on this year.
