Weather Forecast
There will be overcast conditions today in Lahore while there is a light drizzle also expected during the match which won’t be too heavy to completely call off today’s play. PCB has set Sunday & Monday as reverse days in-case rain interruptions happen and it is to keep note that the PSL 2023 Final was earlier scheduled to be played on the 19th of March on Sunday but due to rain prediction PCB Chairman Mr. Najam Sethi decided to move the game to a day earlier on Saturday instead.
Pitch Report
The pitch will be quite similar to the previous two playoff games being played here at this venue but due to the early morning rain there will be some dampness and the patches with a bit of grass might misbehave a bit strangely and may cause major trouble to the batters just like last night Saim Ayub was bowled off Zaman Khan as the ball kept low. The average 1st innings score will be around 170 to 175 runs but teams will have to make use of 1st 10 overs and try to score over 100 runs as once the ball gets softer and reverse swing comes into play it is quite hard to play big shots in the death overs.
LQ vs MS Probable Playing XIs
Both teams have well-settled playing XIs who they played in their last games and they would surely want to continue the same winning combinations. Mirza Baig last night played a good mature knock for Lahore which helped LQ big time to reach the Final and the same would be expected from him tonight.
We expect Shan Masood to make a comeback for the Final in Multan’s squad with Usman Khan being asked to warm up the benches as he struggled a bit in the last game.
Below are the probable team XIs for LQ vs MS, the Final of PSL 2023.
Multan Sultans: Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan (c & wk), Rilee Rossouw, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Khushdil Shah, Anwar Ali, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Izharulhaq Naveed, Ihsanullah
Lahore Qalandars: Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Mirza Baig, Sam Billings (wk), Ahsan Hafeez, David Wiese (c), Sikandar Raza, Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan
LQ vs MS PSL 2023 Final Fantasy XI
While both teams have solid match-winners in their squads it was a difficult decision to leave out many of the players from the available playing XIs to craft our best possible LQ vs MS PSL 2023 Final dream11 or MyStars11 fantasy team which can win you the exciting cash prizes.
Below is our LQ vs MS, Final Fantasy XI team.
Captain: Mohammad Rizwan
Vice-Captain: Fakhar Zaman
Wicketkeeper: Mohammad Rizwan, Sam Billings
Batters: Fakhar Zaman, Rilee Rossouw, Kieron Pollard
All-rounders: Sikandar Raza, David Wiese, Anwar Ali
Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Ihsanullah, Rashid Khan
We have named Fakhar Zaman as our vice-captain for this game as he got a rich history to make a huge impact on big games like this one. Last year, it was Mohammad Hafeez who helped Qalandars win their maiden PSL title so it will be interesting to see if Fakhar Zaman can replicate what Hafeez did last year. Mohammad Rizwan Mr. consistent is our captain for the team and it is very much expected that he will dethrone Babar Azam today as the leading runs scorer of the tournament.
LQ vs MS PSL 2023 Final Match Prediction
Qalandars have had an upper hand over Multan as they had won three consecutive games against Sultans before the PSL 1st Qualifier game in which Multan changed the trend by beating them quite comprehensively. Bookmakers have predicted this game to go down the wire with both teams having equal chances to win the beautiful trophy. Sultans will look to repeat what they did in the Qualifier by batting 1st and then putting immense pressure on Lahore to win their 2nd PSL title.
In PSL history, no team is able to win two consecutive seasons so if Lahore Qalandars wins the Final they would become the 1st team to defend the title which would be quite a big achievement for their young captain Shaheen Afridi.
