PSL 2024 Schedule, Fixtures, Venues & Time Table

PCB has announced the PSL 2024 schedule after consulting with all the franchise owners and decided on four venues on which season 9 of the Pakistan Super League will be played. As per the PSL 2024 schedule and time it will begin on February 17 and conclude on March 18. Karachi, Lahore, Multan & Rawalpindi are confirmed as venues for the PSL 9. Unfortunately, Bugti Stadium and Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium are still work in progress and the matches still cannot be held in those venues which means Peshawar and Quetta franchises won’t have a home venue yet again. PCB this year yet again is looking forward to hosting some women’s T20 games as well like last year to promote the investors in building up Women’s PSL which is also a work in progress for a few years. 

PSL 2024 Summary

Below are the main details for the 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League which will again be played in Pakistan at four beautiful International cricket venues. A total of 34 competitive matches will be played as per psl schedule 2024.

PSL 2024 Schedule & Fixtures

The tentative PSL 2024 schedule has been released to the media which shows that the PSL 2024 will be played for a month and few nominal changes can be made to the schedule as the event gets closer and it is expected that Women’s T20 games will again be played during the PSL just like last year. The first phase will be played at Lahore & Multan while the second phase to be played in Pindi & Karachi. All the playoffs and the big final are to be played in Karachi as per the psl match schedule 2024. Afternoon matches will start at 2 pm; evening matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will start at 7 pm. Evening matches in Multan will begin at 6 pm except for the tournament opener, which will commence at 8 pm.

PSL 2024 Confirmed Venues

PCB has been investing huge sums of money to prepare more International stadiums in the country which will one day provide one home venue for each PSL franchise. Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium Peshawar will be ready by next year and then Quetta’s Bugti Stadium will also go through a major renovation in the coming year. PCB has plans to build and renovate Niaz Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad as well in the coming years. 

For PSL 2024, PCB has confirmed that the whole tournament will be played in four different venues across Pakistan which are as follows.

• National Bank Cricket Arena
• Gaddafi Stadium Lahore
• Pindi Cricket Stadium
• Multan International Cricket Stadium

The opening ceremony is expected to be held in Lahore this year as per the timetable defined by Chairman Mr. Zaka Ashraf. It is great to see every year PSL schedule the opening ceremony on different venues each year which gives a new flavor to the tournament. 

Who Will WIN PSL 2024

It is a very difficult task to predict and crown one team as favorites in this T20 format but looking at the PSL 2024 all team squads one can say Islamabad United looks like the best team on paper with great local and international resources available. Team Islamabad is filled with many all-rounders which are often considered the best approach to go in this shorter T20 format. Apart from Islamabad, team Karachi Kings is also having a major shift in their strategy for PSL 9 as many of their top priority players like Imad Wasim, and Mohammad Amir have been released from the franchise and Shan Masood has been brought in a trade deal who will be leading the Kings franchise for the first time.
