CWI has updated media that Taylor is currently utilizing the services of a back injury specialist in Johannesburg and will only play the games if she is able to pass the final fitness test. Other experienced players like Shakera Selman, Chinelle Henry, and Chedean Nation also made their comebacks to the national team after recovering from injuries. Hayley Matthews will be leading the team West Indies while Wicketkeeper-batter Shemaine Campbelle will act as her deputy vice-captain. Pitches will be prepared by ICC curators so they can play differently than what we are used to seeing in the bilaterals.
